The kind of emote I'd really want to see is targeted emotes that link 2 or more character models together in an action, like a hug, a pat on the back, or a handshake

Blocki.4931. You're far too negative. Waving, bowing and dancing exist too and emotes are the only way to interact with the enemy besides killing them. I've seen /laugh before and after fights too, from both sides but it never felt out of place. Spicy, but far from offensive.
