Leo-83 over 7 years ago. I have my Fenix 3 HR, which works perfectly but now GPS stopped working in Open Water mode. GPS shows OK - green, speed is shown (!), but Distance tracker is 0 all the time. In other modes no issues with GPS. I tried a few workarounds - copying open water swim profile, changing GPS mode, but no results.

I'm not the only one. I have a friend with similar issue, same Fenix 6 Pro + weekly swimming and the altimeter stop working starting with the update version 24.00 with no beta program but the same period of time when switching from version 23.10 (altimeter was working) to 24.00 (altimeter not working anymore). Now I have Software Version 26.00.
6X user. I hit Navigate > Saved Locations and pick a saved waypoint and select Go To. The watch calculates for a bit and I get a straight line to the waypoint. But what I want is turn-by-turn directions. If I hit Menu > Navigate Settings > Routing, I have Activity set to “Automobile” and Courses set to “Use Map” which I believe is correct.

Allows you to manually calibrate the altimeter sensor. Allows the altimeter to self-calibrate each time you use satellite systems. Sets the mode for the sensor. The Auto option uses both the altimeter and barometer according to your movement. You can use the Altimeter Only option when your activity involves changes in altitude, or the Barometer

As this has been out for 3 months, if it was causing a new GPS problem the forum would be full of threads on it. Without seeing examples, one common cause of a non-smooth track is being in Ultra track mode so I would check the GPS settings for the activity. You might also want to test different GPS, GPS+Galileo/GLONASS combos.

Fenix 6 Sapphire gps not accurate. I bought garmin fenix 6 sapphire this week and used for 1 run and 2 walks just to get he hang of the device. The only purpose was to get a gps track not like a drunk driver which I used to get with my samsung galaxy watch. Though it was better than Samsung but still drunk, showing me running in the middle of Restoring All Default Settings. NOTE: This deletes all user-entered information and activity history. You can restore all of the device settings to the factory default values. Hold UP. Select Settings > System > Restore Defaults > Yes. Troubleshooting.
Watch isn't being recognized by Express. This is likely a separate and long-standing issue. I am not sure how to unmount/eject a watch in Windows, or why that should really be an issue. First time after a PC reboot, and watch connects no problem. After removing and later connecting, it is seen maybe 10% of the time, if that. Lately 0% of the time.
