As a person who has both I would choose the gba sp over the micro since it plays all Gameboy family games and a little more comfortable. But my favorite Gameboy is my 101 modded original gba or my backlight and biverted DMG for gray carts they are the most comfortable of all the consoles for me to play on.

Yes AGS-101 is a backlit SP. Easy to identify model not too scarce in America. Astounding brightness level change over AGS-001. Must be seen to truly appreciate. Key benefit is for Metroid Zero Mission or similar dark background games. Let alone the maligned infamous AGB-001 Backlit SP should be on par with DS Lite, original SP comparable to DS.
OXY-001. Game Boy Micro. Game Boy Advance was miniaturized with a surprise. The size is height 50mm x width 101mm x depth 17.2mm. and, the weight is about 80g. The screen size has become small 2.0 inches, too. (GBA have 2.9 inches screen.) but, The screen is higher quality than GameBoyAdvance.
I have both 101 modded GBAs and IPS. The IPS screen is slightly larger (about 2mm around). Colours are much deeper and viewing angle is way wider. 101 screens also have a slight scan line effect whereas the IPS does not. Aspect ratio is correct on both screens. Neo-Nin • 4 yr. ago.
